Blue Earth
County LIBRARY

This year the Blue Earth County Library will be at the Deep Valley Book Festival hosting fun children's activities! There will be buttons for you to choose from and a color your own bookmark craft. Kids might even discover some dinosaur bones! Be sure to check us out at the 2024 DVBF.

The Blue Earth County Library System is comprised of three libraries in Mankato, Lake Crystal and Mapleton. We serve our patrons through a variety of programs, activities, events and educational materials for adults and youth. All are designed to encourage the use of our libraries’ resources to develop and maintain a life-long habit of reading and learning, including Maker Mondays, our Book Discussion Club, author events, regular story times and one of the largest Summer Reading Programs in the state.  For individuals living in rural Blue Earth County, we offer “Rural Library Services” where materials are sent directly to patron mail boxes free of charge (with an enclosed postage-paid return envelope). We also extend this service to senior citizens within the county. Please visit our website for more information on all of our programs and services, or call 507-304-4001.
